Total Number of Openings 1 Works with business partners to define procurement strategies for given categories of spend based on market analysis and demand forecasting. Develops category plans, strategic sourcing of goods and services, manages supplier performance, and facilitates joint process improvements with suppliers to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO). Note: Category Management is a strategic approach to procurement, where the oversight of Chevron's spend is segmented into areas of similar/related products and services (categories). Supports clients/customers and assists with functional projects under regular supervision. Has a general knowledge of the work group. Job Description: Executes Chevron SCM's contracting process. Selects the appropriate contracting strategy, develop scopes of work, compensation structure, and contracting vehicle (e.g. Contract & Amendments) to effectively manage business risk. Identifies and qualifies potential material and service providers, and oversees bidding, bid evaluation and contract award. Works closely with Legal and Subject Matter Experts to ensure contract compliance through the contract life-cycle (contract planning, execution, post award management, and claims mitigation).
