HIA is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Brisbane team, providing expert guidance to Housing Industry Association (HIA) members nationally.
The Role
This role is a phone-based customer service position, which involves liaising with HIA members, and colleagues within HIA to provide a solution-based response to incoming enquiries. The nature of query involves provide general information and assistance to HIA members on regulatory, and industrial relation matters.
Key responsibilities for this role include:

The Contracts and Compliance Business Centre Officer will:

• Provide accurate and timely advice to members on contracting and compliance issues,
• Provide advice to members on industrial relations issues including rates of pay and modern awards,
• Assist with the code of ethics matters, and
• Respond to customer enquiries.

The ideal applicant will have the qualities of:

• Relevant industry experience in law/contracts or industrial/ employment/ human relations or be in the process of obtaining qualifications in any of these areas,
• An understanding of current industrial relations, workplace or contractual issues,
• Competent at working as part of a team as well as autonomously,
• Highly developed problem solving skills,
• High standard of customer service skills, and
• Ability to manage time effectively in order to prioritise competing workplace demands.
