The Associate Director, Contracts Country Lead, Germany is a highly visible role which provides advice and expertise on complex contractual matters. As a part of the Contracts Regional Model across Collins Aerospace, this leader will be required to manage a team of Contracts professionals across several SBUs who ensure compliance, accuracy and completeness of customer requirements.
This is a dynamic leadership role that will be faced with complexities of legacy company culture, process and integrating to a common contractual approach and strategy. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying process issues and enabling a culture of continuous improvement. This role will also be an integral player in customer (internal and external) relationship building and contractual initiatives. It will contribute to driving change in support of the “One Collins” contractual process and culture.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a team of Contracts professionals
  • Provide strategic direction and ensures alignment of business goals to contracts organization (member of Senior Contracts Leadership Team)
  • Responsible for implementation and execution of policies, procedures and process in accordance with our company and customers
  • Oversight of contract formation, negotiations and contracts administration within the business
  • Drive closure with customers when contractual challenges are present that require Contracts Senior Leadership engagement
  • Continue to enhance the Contracts Program with the Central Contracts Team
  • Responsible for leadership and talent development activities for contracts associates within the business and across company
  • Provide business support and ensure risk mitigation when necessary
  • Drive enterprise alignment with customer activity (e.g. terms and conditions), talent & skills development, process and procedures and sharing of lessons learned & best practices
  • Internally works at all levels of the business with significant exposure and time spent with leaders of different SBUs and the General Counsel of Collins Aerospace.
  • Coordinate between/among SBUs when contracts/proposal activities / common issues affect multiple BUs with the same customer
  • Participate in and/or conduct front-end assessments of proposals
  • Summarize contractual issues, research compliance matters, interpret regulations, identify risks and formulate recommendations
  • Collaborate and engage in strategy formation for business arrangement development and execution
  • Develop formal correspondence to address contractual matters and dispute resolution
  • Support audit or customer requests
