Description

Envision Technology, an innovative small business providing advanced electro-optical solutions for defense applications, seeks a Contracts & Export Compliance Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting business objectives by overseeing contract review, negotiation, and lifecycle management while minimizing organizational risk. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of import/export compliance to ensure that our operations align with both domestic and international regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Law, or a related field or a Certified Export Compliance Officer certificate.
· Minimum 5 years of Trade Compliance experience.
· Minimum 5 years working knowledge of ITAR and Commerce [EAR] regulations.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex compliance information clearly.
· Proven ability to work collaboratively with various departments and levels of management.
· Proactive and engaging approach to identify and address potential compliance issues before they become of significant concern.
· Familiarity with sales, supply chain management, logistics, and trade agreements.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance on contracts, including Government and commercial contracts, Long-Term Agreements, Product Support Agreements, and Sales Representative/Distributor agreements, with a focus on business growth and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations; collaborate with internal senior leadership teams and outside counsel as required.
    · Oversee contract tracking, documentation, and archiving to ensure accuracy, security, and traceability.
    · Monitor and ensure compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
    · Generate and submit import/export hardware/tech data license applications for the Department of State and Department of Commerce.
    · Track status of all export authorizations (TAA’s, DSP-5, DSP-73) from initial internal requests, governmental approval, amendments, through closure.
    · Ensure compliance with approved U.S. export authorizations.
    · Maintain Export Compliance Program policies and procedures.
    · Train new hires on the importance of export compliance as well as create a yearly training program for current employees consistent with corporate guidance and assure that the document is properly documented, fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
    · Keeping up to date with changes to international trade regulations and laws.
    · Process all export and import shipments including submission of applicable filings.
