ARE YOU A CONFIDENT NEGOTIATOR WITH A STRONG BACKGROUND IN CONTRACTS AND COMPLIANCE? DO YOU WANT TO PLAY A KEY ROLE IN SUPPORTING A GROWING GLOBAL BUSINESS IN THE OFFSHORE ENERGY SECTOR?

Sulmara is seeking a Contracts Lead to join our team. Reporting directly to the Head of Contracts & Compliance, you’ll be at the heart of our operations - supporting projects across the full contract lifecycle, advising commercial and executive teams, and ensuring our agreements are both commercially robust and fully compliant.
This is a varied and influential role where you’ll not only lead contract negotiations but also deputise for the Head of Contracts & Compliance which means that you will contribute to strategic decision-making, and drive continuous improvement across our global business.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Lead negotiations for client and supplier contracts, MSAs, subcontracts, vessel charters, NDAs, and purchase orders.
Provide expert advice on commercial risk, compliance, and insurance requirements.
Support tender reviews, bid/no bid decisions, and governance approval processes.
Manage post-award contracts including change orders, extensions, claims, and dispute resolution.
Ensure compliance with anti-bribery, sanctions, competition law, data protection, and modern slavery regulations.
Oversee contractual insurance requirements, review certificates, and support claims and renewals.
Deputise for the Head of Contracts & Compliance, representing the function at internal reviews and approving contracts within delegated authority.
Drive continuous improvement by embedding lessons learned and evolving best practices.
