JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contract Manager to oversee and manage contracts within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and negotiation skills, with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of project management principles, particularly in the construction sector. This role requires excellent communication abilities and the capacity to manage multiple projects effectively while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in contract management or a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation skills coupled with robust organisational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Project is essential.
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
  • A background in IT is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts to ensure they meet organisational goals and comply with legal standards.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information for contract preparation and execution.
  • Monitor contract performance, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions while addressing any issues that arise.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all contracts and related documentation using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Lead project management efforts by coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects within budget constraints.
  • Utilise Microsoft Project for planning, tracking progress, and managing resources effectively.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on contract-related matters, fostering a culture of collaboration and organisational excellence.
  • Conduct regular reviews of contracts to identify areas for improvement or renegotiation as necessary.
