WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re looking for an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong background in delivering civil engineering projects from start to finish. You’ll have a proven track record across a variety of disciplines, with particular expertise in public realm works – including paving, hard & soft landscaping, retaining walls, muck shift, and other associated infrastructure works.
You’ll be commercially aware, highly organised, and confident managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong leadership skills are essential, as you’ll be guiding site teams, liaising with clients, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. A collaborative approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of workmanship will be key to your success in this role.

· Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and quality standards.
· Support business plans, produce reports, and conduct regular site visits.
· Oversee resource use, client relations, and team performance.
· Manage the full construction process from pre-construction to completion.
· Develop and enforce Health & Safety plans, ensuring compliance and best practices.
· Conduct audits, analyse trends, and support continuous improvement.
· Convert tender programmes into construction schedules and monitor progress.
· Oversee consultant and supply chain appointments, supporting bid processes.
· Build, develop, and retain a skilled team, addressing performance and recruitment needs.
· Control financial aspects, monitor costs, and drive value engineering and efficiency.
