QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience in contract negotiation and management.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terms, risk mitigation, and contract structure.
  • Ability to interpret legal documents, technical procedures, and regulatory materials.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and document management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to stakeholders and negotiate with external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and make sound decisions in complex situations.
  • Understanding of cost accounting and contract pricing terms.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Contracts/Purchasing Department, setting goals and ensuring efficient workflow and performance.
  • Review, draft, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of contracts and purchasing agreements with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders—including Risk, Legal, Operations, Accounts Payable/Receivable—to ensure alignment on contract terms and fulfillment.
  • Analyze requests for deviations from standard contract terms and propose modifications to mitigate risk.
  • Oversee the preparation, distribution, and tracking of contract documents to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Maintain and improve department processes through internal meetings, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Serve as the point of contact for contract-related inquiries across the company and provide guidance on contract risk, structure, and compliance.
  • Support company initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.
