Description
As a Contracts Manager, you will serve as a commercially-astute advisor, providing expert contract negotiation and risk management across the entire project lifecycle. Operating within a complex infrastructure and energy environment, you will act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, ensuring that our commercial interests are protected while fostering collaborative relationships with our clients and partners. In this role, your time and impact will be focused across three core pillars: * Pre-Sale Strategy & Negotiation (50%): Lead the commercial review of tenders and contracts prior to execution. You will partner with Sales and Legal teams to draft, review, and negotiate terms that balance competitive edge with robust risk mitigation. * Internal Liaison & Governance (30%): Act as the critical "middle person" connecting sales, commercial, and project functions. You will ensure that construction contract matters are understood across the business and that risk transfer to subcontractors is managed effectively. * Project Execution & Dispute Resolution (20%): Provide ongoing support during project delivery. This includes managing contractual correspondence, amendments, and milestones, as well as leading resolution strategies for any contractual disputes or claims. Core Competencies * Commercial & Financial Acumen: Ability to interpret financial indicators to drive better business outcomes and navigate complex marketplace dynamics. * Complexity Management: Adept at synthesizing contradictory information to find pragmatic, results-focused solutions. * Effective Communication: Skilled at delivering multi-mode communications tailored to diverse audiences, from site managers to executive leadership. * Conflict Resolution: Proven ability to handle high-stakes negotiations and contractual disagreements with professionalism and minimal disruption. * Strategic Planning: Expert at prioritizing multiple workstreams to meet organizational commitments and project deadlines. * Risk Management: Proficient in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing risks using modern tools to maximize positive project outcomes.
