MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Contracts Manager, You will play a crucial role in the Contracts & Acquisition Management Office supporting the Homeland Security Sector as a subject matter expertise related to the contract life cycle (but not limited to) Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Proposals, Contract Negotiation, Contract Administration and Closeout. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your contracts expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Contracts Manager must have: Education: Bachelors degree. In lieu of degree, 9+ years of related experience required. Experience: 5+ years of related experience Required Skills and Abilities: Advanced knowledge of contracts administration practices, procedures, and processes. Advanced knowledge of relevant laws, and regulations such as FAR, DFARS, and CAS. Experience working with Oracle. Experience with negotiation and administration of Government contracts. Effective administrative and organizational skills. Effective presentation, communication, and business writing skills. Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams and relationships in a matrix environment; influence people outside of direct reporting relationships/levels; and communicate effectively at all levels. Provides advice on contract terms and conditions and applicable legal requirements, including but not limited to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Interacts with program managers, finance staff, subcontract professionals and others in a highly collaborative environment to ensure compliance and mission success. The likely salary range for this position is $119,000 - $161,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
