Position Description The Contracts Manager performs contract administration for all GIE contracts with subcontractors. Essential Functions Prepare and review GIE contracts with subcontractors Maintain files of all subcontracts for designated projects Maintain correspondence files for subcontracts Provide contract administration functions including maintaining records of scope changes, extra work requests, letters to/from contractor, etc. Provide project control with cost trends for contracts Requirements Qualifications 7+ years of experience in contracts administration Knowledge of contractual language and terminology Familiarity with insurance coverage and state laws governing contractual agreements Experience with FERC is highly desirable Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with word processing and spread sheet software Supervisory experience is required Education Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration Competencies Results oriented Customer focused Impact and influence Business and people acumen Work Environment/Physical Demands Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Frequent sitting and operating a computer. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or office materials. Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
