JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plumbing and Heating Contracts Manager to oversee and manage contracts within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent negotiation skills, and a comprehensive understanding of contract management, particularly within the plumbing and heating industry.
This role requires effective communication and organisational skills to ensure that all contractual obligations are met while maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in contract management or a similar role within the plumbing and heating or construction industry is essential.
  • Valid Plumbing and / or heating qualifications are desirable.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of achieving successful outcomes in contract discussions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • A valid driving licence is essential for travel between sites as required.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Gloucester GL3 3B

Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire contract lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Calculating quoting and submitting tenders for works.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to achieve favourable outcomes for the organisation.
  • Plan work programs and organising labour, subcontracting, plant, and mate-rials are available to deliver the work as planned and within budget.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as needed to stay on track.
  • Prepare and present reports on contract performance to senior management, highlighting any issues or risks that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of all contracts, amendments, and correspondence related to contractual agreements.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identifying and proactively securing new commercial clients and works.
