Description

The commercial decisions you support help direct resources responsibly and secure services that contribute to better customer and scheme outcomes. This is an opportunity to join icare's evolving Procurement team and play a key role in a newly centralised contract management model. You'll predominantly manage the ICT portfolio of strategic suppliers, helping ensure contracts deliver value, strong performance, effective governance and positive outcomes for the business. Working closely with business leaders, suppliers and specialist teams, you'll build trusted relationships and help drive better contract and supplier management practices across icare.

This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract with potential to become permanent.

What you'll be working on

  • Lead the end-to-end management of strategic supplier contracts, ensuring services are delivered in line with agreed outcomes, obligations and commercial arrangements.
  • Build productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support performance, value and long-term business outcomes.
  • Monitor contract performance through governance forums, operational reviews and reporting, providing insights that support informed decision-making.
  • Identify, manage and escalate contract, operational and supplier risks, working collaboratively to resolve issues and maintain service continuity.
  • Ensure contracts comply with relevant policies, governance requirements and procurement frameworks while maintaining transparency and probity.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen contract management practices, supplier relationships and business outcomes.

What you'll bring

  • Demonstrated experience managing commercial, technology or strategic supplier contracts across their lifecycle.
  • Strong capability in contract performance management, governance, reporting and supplier relationship management.
  • The ability to interpret contractual obligations, assess risks and apply sound judgement to resolve issues and drive outcomes.
  • Experience partnering with business stakeholders to understand needs, influence outcomes and align supplier performance to organisational objectives.
  • Confidence explaining contract, risk or performance matters clearly to suppliers, business leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Comfort working in an environment where priorities, operating models and business needs continue to evolve.
  • Experience in technology, ICT, procurement, commercial or related contract-focused environments will be highly regarded.
