COMPANY OVERVIEW:

KML is a UK-based integrated marine contractor working worldwide. We have our own vessel fleet, assets, wharves, and labour force. With a heritage and portfolio in specialist and general merchant vessel operations, marine civil engineering contracting (including rock armour and sea defences), salvage and wreck removal, craned heavy lift, subsea cables, and specialist offshore energy installation and decommissioning including offshore wind and Tidal / Wave Energy Converter installations, operations and maintenance, the company continues with rapid growth in all its sectors.

CONTRACTS MANAGER JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee and manage contractual agreements across our marine construction projects. This includes rock armour, decommissioning, salvage, heavy lift, and subsea cable operations. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of marine-specific contracts such as FIDIC, NEC, BIMCO, LOGIC, IMCA, and bespoke project agreements. This role is essential in reviewing, interpreting, and negotiating contract terms to protect our business interests while fostering strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.

  • Lead the review, negotiation, and administration of all contracts related to our business operations.
  • Provide expert advice on contractual risks, obligations, and entitlements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective contract management processes.
  • Support the Business Development team in the preparation and submission of tenders and project proposals.
  • Work closely with the Projects Team to ensure adherence to the established stage-gate process.
  • Proactively manage contract variations, issue early warning notices, and identify opportunities through diligent contract administration.
