CONTRACTS MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Contract Manager to join our general construction company, based in Abu Dhabi. You will be working on a wide range of projects, potentially including residential, commercial, healthcare, hospitality, and leisure developments. Projects encompass new builds, fit-outs, and refurbishments.

KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Solid experience and capability in pre-contract services (tendering).
• Experience in post-contract services, including interim applications, change management processes, and variation valuation.
• Experience working with standard form contracts, preferably FIDIC, and a strong understanding of contract procedures.
• A professional approach and confidence in performing your role.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Effectively dealing with post-contract cost variances, change control processes, and interim applications, where applicable.
• Taking personal responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of work produced.
• Assisting the commission lead to ensure the accurate and timely production of information and reports.
• Interfacing with clients, contractors, and other consultants, where applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a similar field.
• In-country (UAE) experience is required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar roles.

• Contract Management: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Risk Management: Identifying potential contractual risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
• Cost Management: Overseeing the works of quantity surveyors on site and giving instructions related to change management / variations.
• Coordination: Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to contract terms.
