SUMMARY:

The Contracts Manager serves as a strategic partner and subject matter expert on federal government contracting, providing leadership and oversight across the full contract lifecycle—from award to closeout. This role ensures compliance with applicable regulations, including FAR and DFARS, and supports business operations through contractual guidance, risk mitigation, and effective stakeholder collaboration. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in various contract types and demonstrates the ability to manage complex government contracts while supporting program and financial objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and 10 years of experience managing Federal Government contracts.
  • Contract management experience is required with all contract types, working expertise with the FAR and agency supplements.
  • Experience with Government contracting issues such as conflict of interest, request for equitable adjustment, funding realignment, and security in government contracting.
  • Working knowledge of the FAR and DFARS.
  • Working knowledge of GSA schedules and GSA functions.
  • Understands the financial aspects of contracts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weigh up to thirty (30) pounds, as necessary.
Location/Work Schedule:
Primary location in Huntsville, Alabama
This position is currently a Hybrid Remote position with occasional travel, onsite, to the Huntsville, Alabama headquarters office for training and to support business needs when required.
It is expected for the Contracts Manager to be available during normal operating business hours and have a dedicated workspace. Must be available to support multiple client companies across all time zones.
Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and interpret Federal Government regulations including FAR and DFAR while ensuring DCAA compliance
  • Award to close out contracts management of Cost Reimbursable, Fixed Price, and T&M type contracts
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the VP of Financial Operations, to include providing guidance concerning contractual terms and conditions, legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations
  • Review contract terms and conditions for completeness and consistency with corporate policies and standards
  • Provide management oversight and guidance to 4-5 Contract Administrators
  • Advise Managing Directors and Program Management of their rights and obligations under contract terms
  • Maintain a collaborative working relationship with other departments
  • Participates in improvement projects and initiatives
    Compensation Minimum: $90,000
    Compensation Maximum: $110,000
