Job Summary:
Norwich Aluminium are seeking a skilled Contract Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of contracts, ensuring compliance and successful completion.
This involves liaising with the contracts team, other internal operational departments, external trades and customers to meet business expectation and ultimately the expectation of the clients.
· To make early contact with the client once a contract has been assigned, to introduce yourself as the point of contact for Norwich Aluminium.
· Attend internal & external pre-start meetings where necessary.
· Attend internal project update meetings.
· Carry out site visits where required, prior to production, to confirm the client is prepared for installation and to carry out a site-specific risk assessment.
· Complete RAMS in line with site inspection and pass to Contract Coordinator to put into file and forward to customer.
· Where necessary identify the need for any access equipment and request that the Contract Coordinator raises a PO.
· Confirm with the client agreed installation date.
· Feedback to the Contracts Coordinator and Scheduling & Compliance Officer any changes to the timeframe of projects which may affect the production schedule and/or the fitting diary.
· Brief fitting teams on their job and ensure they have the site folder and sign RAMS prior to starting works.
· Ensuring our fitters are working in accordance with the RAMS.
· Ensure the fitters are working in a safe manner and using all required PPE.
· Enforcing quality of work and attention to detail onsite.
· Report any errors to relevant personnel.
· Deliver Toolbox Talks when required.
· Carry out final inspection with the client to snag and complete a snag sheet for the Project Coordinator to arrange works.
· Receive returned site folders, check correctly completed by the fitters. Make sure any outstanding works can be understood by Contract Coordinator. Reviewed handover site folder to Contract Coordinator.
· Client handover on completion.
· Ensure all relevant compliance paperwork is submitted in a timely manner including, but not limited to handover documents and any QA documents.
· Keep the Head of Contracts updated on site progress and issues.
· Any other duties that can be reasonably expected for you to carry out in performing your role.
