The Contracts Manager will provide flexible but expert management support across the business, adapting to changing priorities, especially focused on: sub-contractor strategic performance management, technical support to customers, new contract mobilization, customer account management, and business project management.
Job holders in this unit group manage and oversee major projects across all sectors of modern industry, commerce and the public sector, in areas such as e-commerce, business analysis, finance, product development, marketing, and human resources.

REQUIRED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-8 years.

KEY SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Team management experience.
  • Supply chain performance management experience.
  • Contract negotiation skills.
  • Strong Client-facing experience.
  • Dynamic.
  • High Degree of flexibility in working hours including weekends and out-of-hours.
  • A high degree of mobility, traveling throughout the UK with nights away from home to meet business needs.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • IT Literate, familiar with all Microsoft packages.
  • Customer-focused, organized, flexible and professional.
  • Strong legal compliance focus.

Responsibilities
  • Contract Management.
  • P&L financial account management.
  • Quote new works.
  • Manage Contractors strategically so their performance is optimized.
  • Develop and implement a contractor performance management system.
  • Provide contractor management support to account management teams.
  • Effective contractor administration that ensures legal compliance and other outcomes are optimized.
  • Project and New Customer Contract Mobilisation Management.
  • Plan, Manage, and Deliver projects, so as to achieve the business case and objectives on which the project was authorized.
  • Effectively manages the mobilization of new customer contracts to satisfy key stakeholders.
  • Plan to mobilize using appropriate, contemporary methods and tools.
  • Ensure time, quality, and cost targets are achieved when leading, and mobilizing client’s contracts.
  • Negotiating with the contractors.
  • Find out what the client or company wants to achieve.
  • Agrees on timescales, costs, and resources needed.
  • Draws up a detailed plan for how to achieve each stage of the project.
  • Selects and leads a project team.
  • Negotiates with contractors and suppliers for materials and services.
  • Ensures that each stage of the project is progressing on time, on budget, and to the right quality standards.
  • Reports regularly on progress to the client or the company directors.
