Under the direction of the Manager, Clinical Research Unit at the Montreal Neurological Institute, the Contracts Officer is responsible for the review and negotiation of agreements in support of the Clinical Research Unit. The Officer will work in close collaboration and report with respect to the review of said agreements to the Associate Director, Industry Partnerships (Office of Innovation and Partnerships). In addition, the Officer will be a subject matter expert for funding opportunities offered through federal, provincial, and international research agencies as well as foundations and industry-partner and will advise the Clinical Research Unit on how to maximize research funding potential.
Primary Responsibilities:
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Three years of related experience, preferably at a large, research-intensive university. Experience in budgeting and project management. Knowledge in provincial, federal, and/or international funding opportunities and collaborative projects is an asset. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in French and English. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment. Proven ability to work and achieve objectives within a complex policy and procedure framework.
