Fit Out UK, a leading interior fit-out contractor, is seeking a Contracts/Project Manager to oversee retail and commercial projects across our London and the South East. This is a hybrid role with time spend between the office and sites in the area.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic MS Project.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • Contracts Management Experience.
  • Exposure to Fast Track Fit Out and Retail Construction Preferred.
    Other duties may be assigned by the Workstream Manager to ensure project delivery.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for the overall delivery of specific projects from conception to completion. Reporting to the Workstream Manager, this role includes managing site teams, direct and subcontracted labour, and coordinating with internal departments such as cost management, M&E, procurement, and design. The primary focus will be on maintaining profitability, compliance, and quality throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all projects align with company standards and reputation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend management calls and meetings as needed.
  • Scope works with clients and brief cost managers.
  • Support procurement and confirm provisional sums.
  • Coordinate surveys, obtain drawings, and manage pre-construction documents.
  • Track and manage RFIs and project risks.
  • Develop project plans and schedules, ensuring smooth delivery.
  • Participate in client meetings, and manage actions, notes, and minutes.
  • Oversee site management, ensuring compliance with building regulations and best practices.
  • Manage permits, certifications (BREEAM, building control), and Health & Safety documents.
  • Track project progress, report risks, and ensure timely completion.
  • Oversee snagging process, final account preparation, and project handover.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation (O&M, completion statements, etc.) is submitted as required.
