Description
EnerMech is looking for a Contracts Specialist to lead the Houston-based EMEAC contracts team. You’ll work closely with Legal to review, negotiate, and approve prime contracts, subcontracts, and purchase/supply agreements. This role focuses on assessing risk tolerance, commercial issues like payment terms, change control, and reimbursement models, while managing a high-volume, fast-paced workload. Job Description: Oversee the contracts team, including workload allocation, training, and development. Ensure contracts are reviewed, marked up, negotiated, and executed in line with company policies. Prepare tender qualifications and obtain internal approvals. Assess risk and advise on commercial matters (payment terms, change control, reimbursement models). Negotiate with customer counterparts and provide guidance on claims/disputes. Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Bids & Proposals, Supply Chain, and other teams. Contribute to tender reviews and ensure operational teams understand contract risks. Ensure bonds, guarantees, and agreements (NDAs, joint ventures, MOUs) are properly issued. Uphold EnerMech and client HSE policies. Maintain ownership of departmental quality, operational, and compliance standards Requirements: Bachelor's degree or related experience. 15+ years in contracts/commercial roles, ideally in energy, construction, or related sectors. Experience handling high-volume workloads under tight deadlines. Strong project management, risk analysis, and commercial diligence skills. Proven track record reviewing, marking up, and negotiating contracts with a commercial focus. Advanced Microsoft Office skills. CIPS or equivalent professional qualification.
