Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The Control Analysis Associate is responsible for analyzing internal processes and operations within an organization to pinpoint shortcomings and recommend corrective measures to mitigate risks. He/she supports the Area Financial Controller across diverse operational tasks and offers technical expertise to enhance organizational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Check monthly financial statements by entity, help with figures and projections, identify errors, and report them to the line manager, the accounting team, and ABS team for necessary action.
  • Compile ledgers, accounts, and reports for the team within governmental time limits to facilitate the reconciliation of financial data according to specified schedules, ensuring ongoing awareness of the company’s financial position.
  • Assist with financial tasks for the operation and commercial departments, checks and improves invoices/payments, and help develop business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and promptly by following established procedures.
  • Assist with procedural compliance to ensure adherence to systems and assist in achieving business objectives.
  • Coordinate communication between departments (logistics, marketing) and accounting to ensure expenses are recorded accurately and on time. Conduct basic validations to maintain data consistency across systems and assist in the maintenance of dashboards and reports.
  • Support in reviewing the budget, financial forecasts, and preparing reports on variances, while ensuring quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
  • Provide support in verifying compliance with taxation regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)/International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and company procedures.
  • Support the team by providing information on internal and external audits throughout financial and operational audits, ensuring the provision of accurate and timely data consistently.
