QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 8 years of experience with at least 2 years in a financial reporting role
  • Good knowledge of fundamental Accounting Principles.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong accounting experience, preferably in FMCG environment.
  • Strong Financial Modelling and PowerPoint skills
  • knowledge and experience of leading commercial work
  • High Jorel of problem-solving skills
  • Advanced understanding of business system economics.
  • Solid analytical & functional skills. Ability to connect the dots / see the big picture without losing sight of details.

  • Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely and accurate submission of Quaker financial results on a monthly basis in accordance with US GAAP and PepsiCo Policy. Ensure that all the account balances are matching with our accounting software SAP with 0 difference between SAP and HFM.• Standardize processes within the Quaker business to improve governance and have the necessary controls in place. • Ensure Quaker transactions are reported correctly on SAP eliminating manual processes; Responsible for training the Quaker team to ensure SAP is being fully utilized.• Review credit limits, release purchase orders for Quaker related to Cogs, S&D, A&M, D&A etc.• Work with Marketing team to finalize accruals related to Quaker and review these accruals each month to ensure that they are still appropriate.• Responsible for submitting P/Q/A schedules on HFM and providing quarter analysis on balance sheet, P&L, Volume and GNG which is included in PepsiCo quarterly 10K• Responsible for submitting the Tax package to Global Corporate team on an annual basis for Quaker• Prepare monthly VAT returns and raise adhoc queries with the UAE Government Federal Tax authorities.• Responsible for KPMG Audits for current years and also closing out of old audits to ensure compliance with local statutory requirements • Lead balance sheet review process on a quarterly basis with leadership team • Guide and support the Quaker team on PepsiCo financial policies and partner with the team on adhoc projects to drive the business agenda• Focal point for any spend schedule review and policy compliance • Partner with planning on the working capital forecasts• Work closely with all the distributors and ensure recovery of funds in a timely mannerIn addition to the above deliverables, Quaker Analyst is doing these additional activities which has increased the workload• Responsible for timely and accurate submission of Iraq financial results on a monthly basis, in accordance with US GAAP and PepsiCo Policy.• Coordinate with CFI team and ensure reporting correct financials on a monthly basis.• Ensure Iraq transactions are reported correctly on SAP eliminating manual processes. • Responsible for submitting P/Q/A schedules on HFM related to Iraq• Release purchase orders for Iraq • Work with Marketing team and GICO to finalize accruals related to Iraq and review these accruals each month to ensure that they are still appropriate • Control owner for Iraq FR GCS controls and documentation.• Guide and support the Iraq team on PepsiCo financial policies and partner with the team on adhoc projects to drive the business agenda• Focal point for any spend schedule review and policy compliance related to Iraq business• Partner with planning on the working capital forecasts related to Iraq business• Partner with GICO team and ensure their advances are captured and SOA updated on a regular basis• Responsible for submitting the Tax package on an annual basis for IraqOver and above Quaker and Iraq deliverables, also continuing to handle payroll for AMESA, MENA FOBO and Quaker which takes 1/3 of my time.• It involves co-ordination with IBM, Allsec, AMESA HR and approx. 200 Employees.• Payroll earlier was for PCIL and PGI but it is now separate for Quaker and therefore additional WPS and additional JV for Quaker.• Payroll is not the same every month. With constant transformation going on since last 2 years, there are various situations different for each employee and I being the main point of contact in Finance handling this.• Recently some 60 employees changed from TEQ to Local pay plan which has made the process time consuming and strenuous.
