Description Job Summary: The Control Center Operator is responsible for monitoring multiple wind and solar generation assets and asset networks with multiple connections and interfaces, receiving direction from and interfacing with transmission system operations, analyzing problems, performing troubleshooting, communicating events to TAKKION management, as well as receiving and responding to utility/asset owner requests. The Control Center Operator will report to the CCS (Control Center Services) Manager. Job Responsibilities: Asset and network monitoring prioritizing safety and reliability. Professional and efficient communication, via protocol, with ISO and other BES (bulk electrical system) entities. Basic troubleshooting and configuration of asset SCADA and other monitoring systems. Incident response / Reporting problems. Preparing daily summary of events /activity reports. Receive and respond to asset owner and field technician notifications, events and instructions. Must effectively follow standard operating procedures. Inform TAKKION management of issues, implement and track corrective measures. Follow up issues resolution to achieve asset availability and network uptime targets. Other duties as assigned by CCS Manager. There is also an incentive for working nightshift. Requirements Experience and education Two (2) year degree in Computer Networking or Wind Technician program generally preferred takkion.com. Network Operations Center (NOC), transmission systems operations or wind technician field experience highly beneficial. Basic computer skills and knowledge of computer networking; additionally, experience with SCADA systems and networks highly beneficial. The ability to work with little or no supervision. Extensive knowledge of email and basic MS office apps; ability and willingness to learn new software applications. Strong organizational skills, oral and written communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in rapid changing environment. Strong analytical thinker with the ability to resolve complex issues • Self-starter with a drive for continuous improvement of the business operations. Successful applicant will be trained in TAKKION CCS and OEM specific systems. Physical Requirements This position is partially self-directed and requires understanding of company policy, procedures, and values. Team members will be required to adhere to all safety requirements in all work environments. This position operates in an office environment. Must be able to work nights and weekends Specific physical requirements include: Sitting for approximately 95% of the time while working on a personal computer.
