As a Control Room Operator for our electricity team, you can expect to work alongside our talented team to ensure the safe and reliable management of the electricity distribution, transmission and network connected generation assets. In this fixed term role, you can expect to: managing the day-to-day operation/control of the Network, (including Transmission, Distribution and Generation assets). managing authorised/approved party access and interaction with the distribution network assets; and managing and completing all of the processes, documentation and activities for Action Switching and Work applications received from authorised/approved employees and contractors. As a member of the Electricity Control Room team, you will participate in the Network Control Duty Roster and support emergency response. Qualifications Ka mau matou I enei pukenga - What we're looking for: As well as being a great team player who is passionate about what you do, you will have: Superior communication skills A desire to learn, develop and share knowledge NZCE or equivalent tertiary qualification Accreditation in the NZQA Standards for Network Controllers. Proven experience and skills in the Electricity distribution industry including in operating overhead and underground network and generation assets in both urban and rural areas. An excellent understanding of electricity network control operations, switching and permit documentation, SAIDI & SAIFI reliability measurements. A current understanding of relevant Legislation.
