SK SECURITY SERVICES LTD has a fantastic opportunity for a Control Room Operative to join our team based in Clacton on Sea for a shopping centre.
Must be local in Clacton On Sea CO15 area.
SK Security Services are a thriving Security provider with clients in the CONSTRUCTION, RESIDENTIAL SECURITY, EVENTS and CORPORATE SITES. We are seeking an enthusiastic, well presented and diligent individual with a strong security background. Applicants should have a good understanding of SIA protocols in relation to health & safety, identifying safety hazards and be comfortable with managing challenging situations in a calm and professional manner. Customer and client care is one of the most important factors within the security industry, so your ability to work with the general public and clients will be highly beneficial.
SK Security is currently recruiting for a SIA Licensed CCTV Operator to be based at one of our prestigious client’s premises.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

*SIA CCTV Licence
*Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
*Confident English speaking (other languages would be advantageous).
*Previous control room experience would be ideal.
*Hold a clean driving licence with access to own transport
*Confident in using telephone/switchboard systems for any control room based duties
*Strong organisational and administration skills
*Ability to multi-task
*Report writing
*Team player
*Flexible approach to work to suit the business needs
*Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

To provide security and support duties in a professional and courteous manner in line with both the client requirements and company policies and procedures.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • Must hold a valid SIA Frontline CCTV Licence.
  • Previous CCTV control room experience - desirable
  • Intermediate level PC Skills ( MS Office)
  • 5 year checkable work/career history. All applicants will be vetted in line with industry standards – BS7858

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Liaise on a daily basis with staff + the client and operational management teams.
  • Support the fulfilment of the contracted/business objectives, through the range of duty assignments which will involve security and support duties.
  • Ensure safety of customers and all staff.
  • To operate, monitor and prioritise all security systems located within the Control Centre in an effective manner, ensuring that all work is undertaken in compliance with the site specific assignment instructions and current legislation.
  • To operate and monitor the CCTV systems to activate and manage access control in line with the client requirements.
  • To record all events and actions monitored from within the control room.
  • To respond and react to any incidents or security issues that may arise.
  • To monitor the CCTV system and report any faults through to line manager and in line with client requirements.
  • To work alongside the emergency services and other security providers to ensure high standards.
  • To produce written reports on incidents and occurrences in line with client requirements
  • To perform ad hoc duties as directed.
