CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER - THE PERSON:

• Experienced in PLC system design & programming
• Systems, Software & Hardware development experience
• Knowledge of Ignition systems desirable
• Degree qualification (BTEC with significant controls experience will be considered)
• Any ability with SCADA systems or robot programming highly advantageous, however training will be provided
  You MUST be flexible for international travel. All Engineers are expected to spend 3-4 periods per year on site, for 3-4 weeks at a time.

  Located in Shropshire, this role is commutable from Telford, Wolverhampton, Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury, Stafford.

• PLC Programming – writing & developing code. 90% of systems use Rockwell & Siemens therefore this experience is essential.
• Development of structured ladder logic, statement list and function blocks
• Set-up of system communications & drives particularly AC/DC inverters
• Perform testing & validation of hardware/software systems
• On site commissioning of new systems both UK and worldwide including customer training
• Development of robot software (training available)
• Remote customer support - fault finding and diagnostics
