THE PERSON:

We are looking for a control Systems & Project Engineer to join our team in Nuneaton. You will have a technical engineering qualification or relevant work experience.
Our site in Nuneaton is expanding and we have this great opportunity for a Control Systems & Projects Engineer to join our team. Your role will be to diagnose complex technical issues on systems in our Snacktory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Electrically Compitent, BS7671, UK Electrical Test & Inspection Qualifications.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Automation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with a focus on control systems engineering.
  • Proficiency in Siemens, Omron, and Allen-Bradley PLCs, including programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of industrial networks and protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, Modbus).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with SCADA systems and HMI development.
  • Familiarity with robotics, motion control, and advanced automation technologies.
  • Knowledge of safety systems and standards (e.g., SIL, ISO 13849).
  • Certification or training in specific PLC platforms is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience working with Siemens, Omron, and Allen-Bradley PLC systems.
