Description Control Systems Technician Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL Travel: Up to 25% (Domestic & International) Compensation: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour (based on skills and experience) + Overtime (may be required on short notice) Company: MSHS Pacific Power Group Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary MSHS Pacific Power Group is seeking a skilled Control Systems Technician with a strong mechanical background to perform the repair, overhaul, and calibration of precision-engineered control components. This includes shop-based work and field service travel to diagnose and repair engine control systems. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technician capable of working independently and representing the company professionally in high-pressure environments. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and overhaul governors, actuators, and related components (e.g., Woodward, Regulators Europa, Diesel Kiki, Heinzmann) Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble components to OEM standards Provide technical support to customers and internal teams (phone, email, on-site) Perform on-site field service work, including emergency support and customer training Assist with the assembly and testing of electrical cabinets for engineered systems Accurately track job time, parts usage, and submit timely service reports Maintain a clean and organized workspace and comply with safety protocols Present yourself professionally and act as a brand ambassador while at customer sites Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proven experience in repair and calibration of mechanical control equipment Strong mechanical and hydraulic systems knowledge; understanding of engine auxiliaries Basic electrical skills, including reading schematics and using diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters) Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); basic photo editing a plus Strong communication skills; ability to explain issues and train customers effectively Reliable, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player Willingness to work overtime and travel on short notice Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field -preferred 2–4 years of relevant hands-on experience in mechanical or control system repair What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on your skills and experience Opportunities for overtime and career growth Travel experience both domestically and internationally A team-focused, service-driven work environment Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and career growth, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Paid time off (PTO) and company holidays Employer-paid life and disability insurance Wellness programs and employee assistance resources Training and professional development opportunities If you're a mechanically skilled technician with a drive for precision and problem-solving, we invite you to apply and join the MSHS Pacific Power Group team.
