We currently have vacancies at our Dumfries Site for a Control Technician who will be part of a flexible plant team required to maintain production equipment and maximise availability of the production assets through a combination of reactive, proactive, preventative and predictive maintenance methods.
Work alongside day an shift teams and support and mentor existing control apprentices.
Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the company police.
Successful applicants will ideally have completed a recognised apprenticeship in Control/Electrical Engineering, we will also consider candidates from an electrical installation background looking to progress into an industrial role.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
The candidate would ideally have the following:
· Completed a recognised apprenticeship in Control/Electrical Engineering.
· Be a team player who is able to communicate effectively and work flexibly to provide support on site out with normal working hours as and when required.
· Experience of operation and integration of SCADA systems. Experience of control instrumentation and systems associated with process control.
· Sound understanding of 3 phase AC distribution. Variable speed drive experience – both AC and DC.
· General working knowledge of PLC systems in particular Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley would be advantageous.

This role comes with a competitive remuneration package about £36.000 dependent on skills and experience including optional company pension, health, dental and vision cover.
