QUALIFICATIONS

  • Baccalauréat en comptabilité, en finance ou dans un domaine connexe
  • Titre CPA (préféré mais non obligatoire)
  • 5+ années d’expérience en comptabilité/gestion financière, idéalement dans un contexte de petite entreprise
  • Solide connaissance des processus de paie, des déclarations fiscales et de l’administration des avantages sociaux
  • Expérience dans la gestion des achats et des relations fournisseurs
  • Maîtrise des logiciels de comptabilité et de paie (Sage, Netris)
  • Solides compétences en Excel et talent pour rationaliser les systèmes
  • Très organisé(e), fiable et capable de travailler de manière autonome
  • Excellentes capacités de communication et de résolution de problèmes

As we scale, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Comptroller to take charge of our financial operations—including accounting, purchasing, and payroll—and help guide our next stage of growth.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Comptroller will manage all financial aspects of the business, ensuring accurate reporting, smart spending, and financial compliance. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys a dynamic environment, values efficiency, and wants to play a key role in a small, entrepreneurial team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA designation (preferred but not required)
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting/financial management, ideally in a small business setting
  • Solid knowledge of payroll processes, tax filings, and benefits administration
  • Experience managing purchasing and vendor relationships
  • Proficiency with accounting and payroll software (Sage, Netris)
  • Strong Excel skills and a knack for streamlining systems
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to work independently
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting and financial operations, including AP/AR, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow planning
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial, tax, and legal requirements
  • Administer payroll, benefits, and employee deductions accurately and on time
  • Manage purchasing activities, including vendor relationships, order tracking, and cost control
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with operations to streamline purchasing processes
  • Develop and implement financial policies, controls, and best practices
  • Support the leadership team with financial analysis and strategic insights
  • Coordinate with external accountants for audits, tax filings, and year-end processes
