OVERVIEW

Lakeland Living is seeking a Controller-Accountant to manage the financial operations of its developments and related corporate entities. Lakeland has eight corporate entities under its umbrella.​ This senior, hands-on role reports directly to the CEO and involves working closely with the entire Lakeland Living team. ​ The position will initially be part-time (2.5 to 3 days per week) and home-based, transitioning to a full-time hybrid role within 15 to 18 months.
About You: You are an experienced financial professional who thrives on accurate bookkeeping, reporting and enjoys analyzing and discussing results to drive business success. ​ You value autonomy, collaboration, and the opportunity to shape financial systems in a successful growing organization. ​

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Extensive experience in accounting, reporting, and advisory roles. ​CPA preferred.
  • Proficiency in managing financial systems and complex transactions.
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks(QB), Sage, and Yardi with QB and Sage being most important at this time.
  • Strong communication skills to explain financial results and implications. ​
  • Ability to balance structure and flexibility in a fast-paced, close-knit environment.
  • Service-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
    Expected hours: 18 – 26 per week
