Description:
This candidate will manage and execute the accounting department for the company, while providing leadership and coordination for all aspects of the company’s financial planning, policies and procedures, budget management, tax preparations and other related financial activities.
The Controller who joins our company should have an adept ability for problem solving, working in a fast-paced environment, fostering a team environment, while providing timely and achievable results. This is a dynamic business where changes are often required on the fly to insure that our work in the field progresses to schedule.
EXPERIENCE:
- 10+ years of financial management experience including tenure as Controller/ Accounting Manager
- Construction experience a plus
- Degree required; CPA preferred
- Knowledge of relevant Federal, Multi-State and local requirements regarding tax and legal reporting
- Proficiency with Vista by Viewpoint, Procore and Oracle Textura is beneficial
Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Manage all aspects of financial operations, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable, collections, and payroll.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis to support decision-making and provide insights to senior management.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with various departments to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial goals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Compliance and Taxation: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including local sales and gross receipts tax returns and working closely with external auditors for annual audits.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes, systems, and controls to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and project management, to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, vendors, and clients, to support the organization’s financial objectives.
- Ad hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management, leveraging your financial expertise to drive business growth and success.
