CAUSE Canada is seeking to hire a Controller to join the Calgary, Canada team. As a growing NGO working internationally, this is an exciting new position for the organization.
The Controller will be accountable for consolidating of all financial records into QuickBooks (QBO) Canada to support external reporting and audits, cash management to meet operational requirements, compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies, and maintain financial documentation and filing systems.

· Financial Reporting: Preparing and overseeing the preparation of consolidated financial statements, summaries, cost-benefit analyses, and financial management reports.
· Accounting Operations: Managing the accounting department in Canada and coordinating with field financial teams, including planning, directing, and coordinating operations. Manage cash position in Canada and facilitate transfer of funds to field operations.
· Financial Controls: Developing and implementing financial policies, systems, and procedures.
· Budgeting and Forecasting: Coordinating the financial planning and budget process, analyzing, correcting estimates, and preparing forecasts.
· Financial Analysis: Evaluating financial reporting systems, accounting procedures, and investment activities.
· Compliance: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements. Oversight to annual external audits and grant funding audits as required.
· Management: Supervising and managing accounting staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
· Strategic Planning: Contributing to the development and implementation of the organization’s financial strategy.
