Automotive Controller Job description: The Herb Chambers Companies is looking for a professional and experienced Automotive Controller for the Boston Metro West area. Candidates must have previous automotive business office experience, and a minimum of 3 years accounting. Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the oversight of accounting, asset management and ensuring tax compliance, as well as financial/accounting decisions of the dealership. Oversight of the accounting office personnel along with all aspects of the general ledger and financial statements Partner with the General Manager to manage the financial results of the dealership Responsible for adherence to dealership policies and internal control structure Proactively manage and safeguard company assets Actively manage expense structure and vendors Strong willingness to adhere to established policies and procedures Prepare the daily, weekly, and monthly reports required by the management team Work with the management staff of the dealership to review the data and prepare reports as necessary Qualifications: The controller candidate must have previous automotive business office experience. Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications, Licenses): Minimum of 3-years Dealership Controller preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Self-motivated, goal-oriented and enthusiastic presence in a team environment with the ability to lead and influence others Ability to be analytical, problem solve, and multi-task Experience building strong teams Consistent and stable work history Professional appearance and work ethic For a confidential interview, please submit your resume.
