Description We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented controller to oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and supporting strategic decision-making for a growing transportation equipment manufacturer. This role manages the accounting team, implements robust internal controls, and partners with operations to optimize cost management and profitability. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. - Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial reporting to management, board members, and external stakeholders. - Oversee annual audits, coordinate with external auditors, and implement recommendations to strengthen financial controls. - Maintain and enhance job costing systems to accurately allocate manufacturing costs. - Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making. - Implement and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets. - Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies. - Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Requirements Skills and Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred. - 7+ years of financial leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing or transportation industries. - Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards. - Proficiency in ERP systems, financial modeling, and reporting tools. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
