Job Details Job Location: Coastal Health Corporate - Orange Park, FL 32073 Controller – Coastal Health Position Overview Coastal Health is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Controller to lead the Accounting department and support the financial operations of a rapidly growing organization. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls and efficient financial processes. The Controller will play a key role in financial oversight, reporting integrity, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities General Ledger & Journal Entries: Oversee and prepare journal entries to ensure accurate and complete financial records. Financial Reporting: Manage the weekly and monthly financial reporting suite, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness. Budget vs. Actual Analysis: Review and analyze budget-to-actual results, identify variances, and provide meaningful insights to leadership. Bank Reconciliations: Oversee and review bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between bank records and the general ledger. Tax & Financial Workpapers: Prepare and review workpapers for tax filings and reviewed financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. Asset & Debt Schedules: Maintain and monitor fixed asset, depreciation, and debt schedules. Cash Management: Oversee cash transfers between entities, escrow accounts, and shared operating accounts, ensuring proper controls and documentation. Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, including review and posting of journal entries and reconciliation of accounts. Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency. Qualifications Experience in Medical Field Minimum of 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multi-entity environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Qualifications
