Description Corporate Coverage Company is the accounting division for a family of privately owned waste disposal and recycling companies. Operating since 1976, our businesses span six states and serve rapidly growing metropolitan areas, including Chicago, Memphis, Clearwater, Orlando, and San Antonio. We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Controller to lead accounting operations across multiple recycling locations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on financial work, managing staff, and collaborating closely with ownership. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage accounting checklists for daily/weekly/monthly accounting work. Conduct month-end close and review financial statements Supervise and develop office accounting staff Conduct performance reviews Train new team members Support departmental hiring Measuring workload/workflow and have cross training for proper staffing size Ensure compliance with internal procedures and duties Analyze trends and variances; develop cost-reduction strategies Manage budgets and forecasting for assigned locations Support special projects as assigned by management Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required) Waste & Recycling Industry experience 7+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior experience supervising direct reports Strong understanding of inventory accounting Demonstrated experience in budgeting, variance analysis, and cost control Proficient in MS Office, especially advanced Excel Experience in manufacturing, recycling, or services industries a plus Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Compensation & Benefits Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time Medical, dental, vision Voluntary life and short-term disability insurance 401(k) with company match Company-sponsored life and AD&D insurance
