QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role.
  • Industry experience in both manufacturing and construction is required.
  • Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP accounting, and project-based reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Epicor, Sage, or ERP systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a growing, fast-paced, and hands-on environment.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, job costing, WIP schedules, inventory, and fixed assets.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple entities and business units.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting staff (AP, AR, Payroll).
  • Ensure accurate job cost reporting and project profitability analysis.
  • Collaborate with project managers, operations, and executive leadership to support strategic goals.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banks as needed.
