POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee our corporate accounting operations. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, analytical skills, and a hands-on approach to financial management in a fast-paced environment. Experience using a Microsoft Business Central platform is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting at a minimum
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years as a Controller or Assistant Controller role
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Business Central (preferred), or NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Experience in insurance and point of care billing or in a laboratory setting is a plus

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all general ledger functions, including month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and present accurate financial statements and performance metrics in accordance with GAAP
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Monitor and improve internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures
  • Supervise and develop the accounting team (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Billing etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Work closely with external auditors, banks, and regulatory agencies
  • Automate, optimize and maintain ERP/accounting systems and processes
  • Support strategic planning and decision-making with financial analysis and insights
  • Oversee daily treasury and cash balance activities, ensuring accurate forecasting and providing actionable transaction recommendations to the COO on cash positioning and investment execution.
