JOB DESCRIPTION (THE OPPORTUNITY):

We are seeking a highly experienced Controller/Director of Finance and Operations to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a CPA or finance professional who thrives at the intersection of accounting, operations, and organizational strategy. You will oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while also improving cross-departmental processes and supporting executive leadership in building a strong, sustainable organization. This is a hands-on, operational finance leadership position designed for someone who loves building systems, ensuring financial integrity, and enabling organizational growth.

EXPERIENCE:

8+ years in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role. Experience in real estate development, construction, or a related industry is highly preferred.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or CPA designation is strongly preferred.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Proficiency in financial software and systems, including advanced Excel skills. Experience with financial modeling tools.

COMPLIANCE KNOWLEDGE (OPTIONAL):

Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements, with specific expertise in LIHTC and HTC.
