Key Responsibilities: - Oversee all aspects of hotel accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting. - Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards. - Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights into the hotel's financial performance. - Collaborate with department heads to develop financial strategies that align with the hotel's goals. - Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. - Manage audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with financial regulations. - Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. - Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial regulations that may impact hotel operations. - Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. - Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. - Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and safeguard company assets. - Coordinate and support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance activities. - Lead, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment. - Monitor cash flow, manage budgets, and assist in financial planning and forecasting. - Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the hospitality industry. - Strong knowledge of hotel accounting software and financial management systems. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail. - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams. - Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to lead and motivate a team, with effective communication skills. - Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. - Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and relevant regulatory requirements.
