Description

Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead our accounting operations. This hands-on position is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, with a strong emphasis on inventory management, cost accounting, and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is a CPA with proven experience in a manufacturing environment, capable of managing day-to-day accounting activities while driving process improvements and financial accuracy. Key Responsibilities Oversee the general ledger, month-end/year-end close processes, and preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP Manage inventory accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation Lead the development and implementation of internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures Partner with operations and supply chain to ensure accurate product costing and inventory reporting Analyze financial performance, prepare management reports, and support strategic decision-making Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors Supervise and mentor accounting staff; ensure timely and accurate reporting across all functions Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting and tax filings Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA required 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with experience in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing financial operations Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills Demonstrated ability to be hands-on and detail-oriented while also operating at a strategic level Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
