We are seeking a Controller to join our team and help guide the financial future of our company. Position Summary The Controller will oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring a balance of leadership, operational involvement, and the ability to work closely with ownership and management. Key Responsibilities Lead all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections. Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, and margins to support operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax filings and regulations. Coordinate the annual employee benefit plan audit. Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures. Partner with leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making. Manage relationships with external CPA firm, banks, and other financial partners. Mentor and supervise accounting staff of two people, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). 5 -7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience. Experience in manufacturing or a related industry strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles. Strong proficiency with ERP software, preferably Epicor; and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
