We are currently experiencing rapid growth and development in our Richmond Hill location and are recruiting a dedicated individual to work full time in our accounting department. JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible for monthly NSF and revenue reconciliations
  • Daily revenue, client statement, and client remittance reconciliations
  • Reconcile bank daily deposits and ARs
  • Process client refund cheques, client statements, and print cheques for retail customers
  • Trust fund transfers between accounts
  • Prepare HST returns
  • Create sales commission reports
  • Create entries and post in ACCPAC and QuickBooks
  • Trust liabilities and transfer clearance GL analysis
  • Mentor and teach junior accounting staff
  • Support monthly F/S, budget preparation, and external audits
  • Assist with other tasks, as necessary, including ad-hoc reports, daily banking, AR, Payroll and licensing

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional degree or diploma in accounting, or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in an accounting or financial analyst position
  • Detail-oriented, organized, efficient and able to multi-task
  • Excellent technical, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
