Description FLSA Classification: Exempt Reports to: Chief Executive Officer Work Location: Remote Summary: Maintains all accounting operations, ensuring GAAP compliance, accurate financial reporting, and strict internal controls for lending activities. Oversees month-end closing, manages cash flow, monitors mortgage origination/hedging, leads audits, and provides strategic forecasting for executive team. Duties and Responsibilities Manage all aspects of accounting operations, transactions related to general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Reconcile bank accounts Perform monthly closing, ensuring accuracy of balance sheets and income statements. Analyze budget vs actual month over month variances. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Coordinate and prepare tax schedules, returns and information. Manage cash flow Monitor origination, pipeline hedging, and warehouse lending activity to ensure proper accounting. Develop controls, manage tax compliance, and ensure adherence to mortgage regulations. Oversee loan funding accounts and cash flow forecasting. Other finance and administrative duties as required Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA is highly preferred. Proven experience in mortgage banking accounting. Proficiency with LoanVision accounting software and advanced Excel. Understanding of mortgage loan lifecycles and Dodd-Frank/regulatory requirements.
