Description ANNUAL SALARY $70,000.00 MUST HAVE A VALID COLATDO KEY GAMING LICENSE SUMMARY: Management and supervision of Accounting Department and Cashier Cage. Ensure proper procedures are followed in accordance with Colorado Division of Gaming ICMP’s and Accounting Plan for Double Eagle Hotel Casino. Protection of company assets and revenues by monitoring company policies and procedures. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Supervision of accounting department employees which includes managers, auditors account payable and payroll personnel. • Review of all SDS Slot System adjustments for jackpot/fill vouchers, meter incrementation and soft count entries. • Review of all general ledger entries prepared by General Ledger Accountants prior to posting to GL. • Prepare Daily Detail Reports for management • Prepare monthly financial statements for management. • As required, prepare Monthly Slot Revenue Summary for use in gaming tax remittance. • Preparation of all tax returns; gaming tax, sales tax, gaming withholding tax, monthly tax template, annual tax withholding reconciliation and submission to the Internal Revenue Service. • Annually prepare and submit the Standard Financial Statements required by the Colorado Division of Gaming. • Review of reconciliation for revenues from all sources, gaming and non-gaming for reasonableness. • Review of monthly financial statements prior to their submission to corporate officers and their review. • Communicate each employee’s progress as it pertains to his or her performance plan and job description. • Annually provide all requested documentation to external auditors for their completion of audited financial statements. • Prepare personal property reports for Teller County Assessor on an annual basis • Any other duties as requested by management. Requirements QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 1. Proficiency in 10-key operations. 2. Associate degree or higher preferred. Level of experience and education will be taken into consideration. 3. Good working knowledge of Excel spreadsheet software. 4. Good understanding of overall casino operations. 5. Demonstrate ability to apply analytical skills to problem solving. 6. Ability to meet deadlines imposed by the Colorado Gaming Commission or internal management. 7. Desire to contribute to the evolving Accounting Department team effort. 8. Demonstrate ability to “pay attention to detail.” 9. Good oral and written communication skills 10. Good technical accounting skills 11. Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements. 12. Proven leadership and supervisory ability. 13. Gaming Industry experience preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or picture form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concretes variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: A valid Colorado Driver’s License. Current Colorado Key Gaming License required.
