Experience with Agriculture Cooperatives is helpful, but not required · Possess a self-motivating personality, as well as team building skills · Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook · Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills Key Responsibilities: 1. Identify and assess financial, operational, and market risks including but not limited to grain commodities 2. Ensure work is completed accurately, timely and efficiently 3. Oversee inventory management and cost accounting 4. Oversee daily activities involving all areas of general and financial accounting 5. Directs and supervises consolidation of accounting data and preparation of weekly, monthly and annual financial reports and various management reports as needed 6. Responsible for planning and preparing company records for annual end-of-year audit 7. Work effectively with patrons, management and fellow employees 8. Available to work extended hours when needed 9. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Duties of the job require confidentiality. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.
