Compensation: Starting at $80,000.00 plus bonus

CONTROLLER – KAIZEN AUTOMOTIVE GROUP

Kaizen Automotive Group, a leading OEM-affiliated automotive group, is seeking an experienced Controller to join our corporate financial leadership team. With a strong presence across multiple rooftops and a commitment to operational excellence, Kaizen offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional to help shape and support our continued growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CPA designation strongly preferred (or equivalent professional accounting designation)
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, preferably in the automotive retail or dealership sector
  • Strong knowledge of dealership accounting, OEM compliance, and industry financial reporting standards
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-location operations and oversee diverse teams
  • Skilled communicator with proven leadership and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency with DMS systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As Controller, you will oversee the financial operations of multiple dealership locations within the Kaizen Automotive Group portfolio. You will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and performance management while providing executive leadership with timely insights to guide strategic decisions. This role requires a blend of technical accounting expertise, dealership industry knowledge, and proven leadership skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead all accounting functions across assigned dealership operations
  • Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Monitor financial performance, including cash flow, expenses, and profitability metrics
  • Ensure compliance with OEM reporting standards, internal policies, and government regulations
  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls and best practices to safeguard assets
  • Partner with senior leadership on forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning initiatives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff across multiple rooftops
  • Manage year-end audit process and build strong relationships with external auditors and financial institutions
