Description To oversee all aspects of the Company’s financial activities. A deep understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting and forecasting is required. In addition, the Controller may be involved in strategic planning and decision making at the executive level. Essential Functions: Perform all job functions in accordance with company safety and environmental policies and procedures at all times. Adhere to all company policies and procedures while promoting and adhering to company values. Perform analysis of financial results, trends, costs and budgets Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements Coordinate review/audit activities with external auditors and facilitate completion of tax returns Prepare Consolidated Financial Statements on a quarterly & yearly basis. Prepare monthly Budget-to-Actual performance, and provided analysis thereof Maintain Fixed Asset and Debt Schedules Oversee the month end close process and coordinate with the accounting team File quarterly IFTA Returns Maintain schedule of company vehicles and ensure all vehicle registrations are renewed File yearly PT-100’s and business licenses Perform Ad-hoc reporting and analysis, annual budgets, and forecasts Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field. 10 years of progressive accounting experience with 3-5 in a managerial role. Computer knowledge and skills. Ability to use: Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft EXCEL, and other company programs. Experience with SAGE is preferred but not required. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to complete tasks timely without supervision. Ability to communicate and interact in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to think critically and analytically. Ability to work independently as well as closely with others. Physical Demands: Able to safely lift a minimum of 15 lbs. Able to see, speak, and hear. Able to use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Able to sit for long periods, stand, walk, type, carrying, pushing, and bending. Able to work primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. EOE
